My Favourite Pot

I found this small Dutch oven for a song at TK Maxx (TJ Maxx for US readers). I had never seen the brand before, and I would guess it's a sort of bargain Le Creuset-type line. Being cheap didn't stop it from becoming my favourite cooking pot, though. I use it every day.

It's quite a heavy thing, and works very well for frying, baking, boiling, braising, slow simmering -- pretty much everything. It's the most useful piece of kitchen equipment I own.

Do you have a pot or pan you reach for every time you cook? I'd love to see what you're using. If you feel like it, please take a photo of your favourite cooking pot and give me a link so I can see it. I know it's an odd request! :)

Oooh, I like the yellow! I'll have to go scrub my favorites. There's actually an interesting story behind them = )

Michelle I love the red pot! Ours are similar. Do you do a lot of stove-top to oven cooking too?

Heidi, Amber -- heading over now! :)

Hilarious to read all the cool posts people have done. It's a great idea ... mind if I borrow it? Only using soap molds instead of cookware? =)

Hi Anne-Marie,

Of course! :)

I'm kind of a slowpoke at getting around to it, but I posted mine here: http://frenchyfinds.blogspot.com/2008/10/wicked-apple-cider-and-my-favourite-pot.html
