Is this Robbie Burns Day? There's a big celebration in Vancouver, Canada, too, I believe...started by those who love Burns and wanted something like that outside of Scotland. :)

Hi Shelagh! Yes, I've been here for a little while. This started out as soapmaking blog, but as my interests changed, so did the theme!
Teresa, it is. Today is the 250th anniversary of his birth. I think it's just an excuse to drink lots of whisky. ;)
Hmmm, do we have things like this in the states? I suppose St. Patty's day is close. Yet another reason to drink more whiskey ;0)
