I'm always looking for ways to dress up soap, especially my hot process bars which can sometimes come out looking a bit plain. A while back, I found some scrapbooking stamps at a craft store that was closing down. The stamps didn't make much of an imprint on the soap, but I found that dusting them with a touch of mica made the shapes stand out much better.
The mica I used is called 'copper', but it really doesn't seem to have any colour to it. It's more of a shimmer/sheen.

That is such a pretty sheen! How clever of you to think of that!
Hehe...I've been playing around with that too! I used a aqua shimmer mica and a dragonfly stamp. Same sheen too. Lol
Thanks Teresa!
E, I don't think any of them have real colour!
Great idea! I have some micas that I can try that with and more than enough stamps.
Heidi, I've never had much luck with micas. It's good to learn they're good for something! ;)
That's pretty much the only way i use my white mica. Looks nice :)
I'm dreaming of getting my own personal stamp, but so far going crazy with the stamp of holy-leaves...:)
I.
I., stamps aren't very expensive these days. I got a great one from Kangaroo Blue in the US.
